The proposed theme for the 4th Annual India Business Forum is “India – More than Just An IT Story”
India has moved on from being just an IT success story. The IT & ITES success has clearly played an important role in putting India on the world economy map and is well documented. Now India faces the challenge as well as the opportunity to repeat this success story over a broader spectrum spanning manufacturing, knowledge based services, entertainment, research and development – to name a few.
The Economist ranks India 3rd on the FDI confidence index and second as a location for manufacturing investment. However, investment and India is today not just one way traffic anymore. Indian entrepreneurs are increasingly investing capital and resources in the developed world via cross border acquisitions and grassroots investment.
This year’s IBF Conference aims to provide a magnified view on the emerging Indian sectors of Retail, Real Estate and Pharmaceuticals and bring you in contact with successful Indian entrepreneurs that are leading India’s continuing evolution into an engine of economic growth, which shall together with China, drive the global economy in the years to come.
