Conference Theme
The theme for this year's conference is 'Exploring Business Opportunities in Rural India' with panel discussions cutting across a number of issues including rural entrepreneurship, retailing, consumer goods, agricultural, micro-finance/ insurance and infrastructure. At the conference leading academics, heads of multinational businesses, successful entrepreneurs, policy experts and ministers in government debate and interact with you on key issues in setting up, running and scaling up sustainable businesses in rural India.

Panel discussions:
Rural Markets and Entrepreneurship Opportunities
Encompassing a spectrum of views from CEO’s of large corporations such, local leaders, venture capital investors and academics, this panel will explore key questions around how emerging rural markets have provided new investment opportunities for entrepreneurs
Financial Products for the Rural Consumer
Despite having an elaborate network of public banks, a vast majority of India’s poor are excluded from the formal financial sector. This panel which includes policy makers, private bankers and academics will explore challenges and opportunities in addressing rural needs in the financial sector.
Supply Chain and Logistics
As the Indian retail and manufacturing sectors open up, they are faced with new challenges in logistics and supply chains in rural areas, particularly to source farm produce and delivery of goods and services. This panel, which includes policy makers and high-level private sector participants deals with the challenge of connecting rural production centres to urban market-places with infrastructure as well as information.
